If you are away at school or doing exams and therefore unable to make the dates set so far - particularly for Seniors and Novices - but are still keen to be considered for teams please could you e-mail me matthews.rock@btinternet.com  with dates when you will be available.  I will then do my best to arrange one or more dates around this if at all possible.

Junior and Novice Challenge Team Training Dates

Training for those who have put their names down for selection the above Area teams will take place on the following dates.  Please note that places will be limited and you must e-mail matthews.rock@btinternet.com or phone (01725 518695 between 6pm and 9pm) Lucy Matthews to advise which dates you would like to attend.  Please note that to be considered for the Junior Team you will need to be confidently and consistently jumping in competitions at 2' 6" and 2' 9", as well as being 12 & under on 1 January 2008.  For the Novice Challenge Team you will need to be jumping 3' minimum.  The cost will be £7 per session and you will need to bring the correct money with you each time.  Training will take place with Maggie Gill at South Gorley, but we will be using her field at the A338 end of Ibsley Drove and not the school.  You will need to approach this directly from the A338 and it will be signed from the main road.

Dates as above

Intermediate and Open Team Training Dates

The first dates for the Intermediate and Open Team Training organised so far are as follows

Dates as above

In all cases the training will be held at Escombe with Marcia Coombes teaching.  As with Novices and Juniors places will be limited and you must contact Lucy Matthews as above if you would like to come.  The cost will depend on the numbers attending but is likely to be in the region of £15.  Please bring money with you on the day.  More dates in June and July are likely to be added in due course

POOLE & DISTRICT REPORT  - 30th March 2008

Overnight rain and the clocks going forward didn't damped the Wilton Team,  who were rewarded for their early morning effort.

In Ring 1

The team of Frances Elgar, Phemie Dillon, Anna Jesty and Hugh Pelly, came 2nd in the 2' class and 3rd in the 2'3" with both Phemie and Frances being placed individualy having double clears in both classes, Anna had a double clear in the 2'3".

In the 2'6" class Lucy Butler, Frances Elgar, Phoebe Gregory and Megan Brown. Finished 2nd, with the whole team going clear in the first round, with three double clears under their belts Megan went to give them a faster qualifing round, but sadly had a pole down.  Frances was 3rd ind and Phoebe 6th ind.

In Ring 2

In the 2'9" we fielded 2 teams.  Wilton Gold: Lucy Butler, Briony Adshead, Phoebe Gregory and Hannah Royle.    Wilton Blue: Abbi Pownall-Gray, Megan Brown, Megan Lockyer and Alice Elgar.  Alice and Briony managed two of the only 3 double clears on the very tricky going and came 1st and 3rd respectively.  Wilton Gold finished on 16 faults in second place to Wilton Blue who finished on 8 faults to win.

In the 3' Class, Alice, Briony, Abbi and Megan L finished in 8 fault and won the class, and Briony did one of the 3 double clears in great style to win the class.  Well done to the team who were all attempting 3' outdoors for the first time.
