BISLEY'S MOUNTED GAMES TEAM QUALIFY FOR ZONE FINALS

Bisley Hunts mounted games team attended the zone finals held at Wincanton racecourse on Sunday 13th July.

The team representing Bisley were Katy Edgerley riding Mollie, Isabelle Oakes on Pip, Grace Sands on Cider, Emily Kruchek on Danny and Laim Johnson on TP. Our team came 15th overall missing qualification for the Pony Club Championships by 1 place but had a fabulous success in the tack and turnout competition and won! A special mention and big 'thank you' to Marci Wilson and Marcus for lending their pony plus 'thank you' to our wonderful trainer Phillipa Westphal and to all the mums and dads and of course to Sarah (team manager)who has made this all possible.

We sent 2 senior teams and one mini team to a friendly hosted by The Chiddingfold Farmers Branch at Eashing on Sunday April 12th.  Everyone got soaked  and it was bitterly cold but a good time was had by all.

Prince Philip Cup Mounted Games A pony club team competition requiring courage determination and all round riding ability; in addition to careful training of the ponies.

All members and horses are very welcome to come and train; from lead rein to expert!

Games include bending poles, flag, mug sock and bottle and bucket races, stepping stones etc and you can learn to vault on with increasing speed!

Practice are on Sat  weekly at Dunstall Green

 10:00 – 12:00 .

Friendly competition starts in March and runs through until May with the area competition

To be eligible for a team, children must be 14yrs or under on 1.1.07 and ponies 14hh 2” or under

You do not have to attend all practices, but will be more likely to be selected for a team if you do
