Dressage training is continuing at Swallowfields on Thursday evenings with Jo Swain on a one to one basis at £25 per session.
Sessions are at 4.30 5,15, and 6.00pm, it takes place in the indoor school if wet !! These slots are very popular so please only book if you intend to train, I know the unexpected can happen but its very difficult to fill slots at a few hours notice, email or phone me for availability.
We will also be test riding and training in preperation for area dressage, the first one will be at Tessa Heathcote's 5th July probably from lunch time onwards. You will warm up, ride the area test on grass be judged and helped and get an opportunity to ride it again, to improve marks and tactics in the arena. We will also run one or two more once schools have broken up for the summer, anyone who has attended regular training or who is out competing at dressage and feels they are good enough and would like to try for the novice teams are welcome, again email me or phone me for more info and to book a place.
There are lots of dressage competitions going on locally, so please try to get out and ride some tests, Swallowfields, Weston Lawns, Lazy Acres, and Solihull RC all run competitions regularly and the key is to get out and ride a test.
The W.H.S.C are running unaffiliated dressage at Solihull on the grass arenas, on Wed evening 9th of July and Sunday morning 10th August. There are walk and trot tests, BD prelim and novice tests, everyone there is really friendly and helpful. Phone Sue Harvey on 01564 783991 for a schedule.
Everyone is doing really well improving their dressage - dont get disheartened if it doesn't always go to plan - keep up the hard work there is always another day and another test to do!
