Tetrathlon Team Update (April 2006)

Firstly, I must apologise that this report did not go into the news letter.

We have had another busy and successful Triathlon (shooting, swimming and running) season this winter.  We have sent around 20 competitors in teams and as individuals to the Cottesmore, Area 7 and Warwickshire Triathlons.

Hannah Goodman continues to be very successful with the best run in her class at both the Area 7 and Warwickshire, she was placed at both events.  Our Junior Girls team is one to watch for the future with all of our girls just missing out on the rosettes at the Cottesmore and Area 7, but  Georgina Morris gained 7th place and the team came 5th at the Warwickshire.  Christian Bailey Brown won the Senior Boys competition at the Area 7 Tri.

Our younger members are also doing well At the Cottesmore Tom Fletcher came 2nd in the Tadpole section, and got the best shoot, and Adam Read came 3th and William Atkin came 4th  in the Mini section.  Their team, with Domonic Malhi, won the Mini boys.  Well done lads!  The Mini and Tadpole Girls are also doing very well with placings from Lauren Morrissey at the Area 7 (7th) and Warwickshire (9th) and Philippa Thirlby (10th) and Fenella Shellis (7th) at the Area 7 Comp.

We have got a lot of  members having a go at the Triathlons for the first time who are all doing very well and seem to be enjoying it.  Anyone who is interested in having a go should come along to the next shooting rally (we provide the gun), or to our swimming training, which runs on every Tuesday evening at John Cleveland College from 6.30pm to 8.30pm you can contact me on 07740049912.

A thank you to everyone who helps run the Tetrathlon squad, Mike Gilman for his help with the shooting and Lynn  and Selina Bailey Brown for doing the swimming training.
