A Tetrathlon comprises of 4 disciplines and is usually run over two days, it was originally set up for boys but is now open to all members. The 4 disciplines are Running, Riding, Shooting and Swimming. The scoring system is set up so that you get points for each discipline and the person with the most points wins. During the winter Triathlons are run, which is Running, Shooting and Swimming. It is not necessary to be good at all of the disciplines, it is a competition where you can come along and have a go.

The competition is split in to different age groups as follows:
MINIMUS FOR COMPETITORS WHO ARE 11YRS AND UNDER
This competition is sometimes split and a separate section is run for the 9 yrs and under which is called the Tadpoles
JUNIOR 12 TO 14 YEARS
SENIOR GIRLS 15 TO 21 YEARS
SENIOR BOYS 15 TO 21 YEARS
The pistol used is a 177 Air Pistol. (The Pony Club owns some for members use).
We enter teams of 3 or 4 into these competitions and our aim is for everyone to go home having enjoyed themselves. It does not matter if you can't do one or more of the events very well, the training helps you to improve and taking part is the most important thing.
