The Pony Club Dengie Winter League Dressage Championships
The Branch enjoyed a fantastic day at Moreton Morrell on Sunday 30th March, amidst glorious sunshine at long last. A total of 82 horses qualified for the Dengie Winter League Championship. For the Atherstone Danielle Steed qualified two horses and Beatle Payne one.
Danielle was placed 7th on Applequeen of Cavallini on 67.04% in the B section but it was in Section A that real success came for the Branch with Danielle finishing 1st on Wulstan Pipsqueak on 74.44% and Beatle finishing 2nd with 68.89% on Pip. This meant both Danielle and Beatle going through to the ride off.
In the Ride Off Danielle was placed 2nd on 77.59% and Beatle 4th with 71.48% taking home some fabulous prizes courtesy of the sponsor Dengie. Well done girls!!!

The Pony Club Baker Tilly Freestyle to Music Sunday 30th March 2008 Moreton Morrell
There were over forty competitors in the Freestyle and Atherstone were well supported with 11 entries. Success came again for Danielle Steed and Wulstan Pipsqueak winning the Senior section with 76.66% whilst Anna Beaumont and Smokescreen finished 10th with 59.58%.
Beatle Payne took 3rd and 4th place in the Junior section with Oscar and Highmead Court Jester on 70.42% and 67.92% respectively, and Adam Read and Just Norman finished 9th on 65.62%. Sarah Gibson and Oscar Award came 5th in the Open section on 61.87% Lydia Fox and Megan Ellingworth with Bobby and Ben were also in the ribbons in the pairs coming 5th.
This resulted in the Atherstone C Team which included Sarah Gibson, Becky Morris, Beatle Payne and Danielle Steed coming 2nd, and the Atherstone A's coming 5th - Adam Read, Annie Beaumont, Becky Morris and Beatle Payne making up this team.
